Aimee Goguen - The Creepy Kids of Spanaway (excerpt)
I bought a mask and I talked with some young kids walking down steps from The Halloween Company. I teach the kids how to play games with flower pedals under low branches and twigs. Shooting monsters as we run deeper and deeper in a forest. Stepping on glowworms and bigger toads. A map brings us to a meadow. We find her body in a field of prairie mallow. Her body attracts droves of butterfly and banana slugs, black caterpillar and children. Sunflowers with an unusual color range neighbor jumbo lily’s and giant magic pumpkins. Her rotting corpse lay on her right side. Arms thrown above her head, pregnant in a yellow dress. The golden sun illuminates her dead soft potato skin. Her body looks sweet, crisp and seedless. We stand in closer and notice her face. It’s Sharon Tate.
